 The Mundane & The Mythical
1X55 minutes
The Bhil community is one of the oldest and largest indigenous groups of India. Under a relentless threat of change and modernization, the community is struggling to retain its traditions and centuries old way of life.
The film captures the lives of Pema Fatia, a traditional Likhandari (painter by urban terminology), and Mana Bhai Baria, the descendant of a family of Badwas (or priest doctor of the village), who represent the two faces of tradition, turmoil and change in the Bhil society.
